It will be interesting to see if anything comes of this, as Torrealba would be in pretty much the same situation in San Fran as Colorado next season. Both teams have young catchers that will play next season, and Torrealba would like to be the primary option wherever he goes.

One scout commented that the Reds would be wise to find a spot for him next season, as he could be a potential power threat for the team next season. He is widely regarded as a defensive liability, but he made just two errors in 70 appearances as an outfielder last season.

Granderson is under contract with Detroit through 2012, with a $13MM club option for 2013. Jackson could become a free agent after 2011, and is likely to test the market while represented by agent Scott Boras. The Angels prefer Granderson simply because they would hold more control over him.

The Rangers are not believed to be interested in dealing him though, as he is among their top players, and has a reasonable salary. He is also a fan favorite.

Halama had received some interest from the Blue Jays as well, but the Brewers pulled the trigger on the veteran lefty. Don't expect Halama to do much for the Brewers this season, as he will have to earn his way onto the major league club.
